Power
- In 2024, we installed a 30.6 kWp solar photovoltaic system, generating sufficient electricity to power approximately 11 average UK households. Any additional energy required is sourced exclusively from certified renewable suppliers, utilising solar, wind, or hydro power.
New Toilet block
- In late 2024, a new toilet block was installed on-site.
- The water heating system operates through thermal solar technology, which captures and utilises energy from the sun to provide a sustainable and efficient supply of hot water.
Waste
- All of our waste is managed through DCW’s Zero to Landfill initiative. The waste is transported to DCW’s facility, where it is carefully sorted for recycling. Any residual, non-recyclable material is sent for energy recovery, where it is incinerated and converted into electricity, ensuring that none of our waste goes to landfill.
Our Equipment
- As technology evolves, we are investing in and transitioning our equipment to battery-powered alternatives to reduce emissions and improve operational efficiency.
Planting
- Each year, we invest in landscaping and planting initiatives to enhance the site’s visual appeal and support local biodiversity by attracting wildlife.
